Zafrani Sevian Recipe

INGREDIENTS :

  • Vermicelli 1-2 packets or as desired
  • Strands saffron 10-15
  • Skimmed Milk 1 ½ litre
  • Sugar 8 tbsp
  • Raisins 20
  • Green cardamom Powder 1tsp
  • Almond silvers (toasted) 1 tbsp

 

PREPARATION :

  • Heat a non stick pan & roast vermicelli on moderate heat till lightly browned.
  • Pour milk into a deep pan & bring to a boil.
  • Lower heat and simmer till reduced to half quantity.
  • Add sugar and cook it dissolves
  • Add vermicelli and raisins and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Take the pan off the heat.
  • Add saffron and green cardamom powders and stir well.
  • Serve hot or cold, decorate with toasted almond silvers.
