Tandoori Chicken Recipe

Tandoori chicken or (Roasted Chicken) is a popular Bangladeshi, Indian and Pakistani dish consisting of roasted chicken prepared with yogurt and spices. The name comes from the type of cylindrical clay oven, a tandoor, in which the dish is traditionally prepared.

Ingredients For Tandoori Chicken Recipe :
  • chicken cut into pie :     1
  • small black cloves :     3
  • red dried chilies :     5
  • natural yogurt :     1/2 pint
  • ground crushed garli :     2 cloves
  • chili powder :     1&1/2 teaspoons
  • butter :     1/8 cup
  • salt :     2 teaspoons
  • powdered red food c :     1/2 teaspoon
  • ground ginger :     1 teaspoon

Preparation Method for Tandoori Chicken Recipe :

  • The cloves and dried chillies are to be roasted, ground and set aside.
  • Mix the yogurt, salt, food coloring, ground ginger, garlic, and chilli powder and the ground ingredients are to be thoroughly mixed.
  • Place the chicken pieces in a dish and pour the yogurt over. Leave to marinate. Smear a large piece of foil with butter.
  • Arrange the chicken on the foil with the marinated mixture and dot the butter on top.
  •  Fold the foil around the chicken and seal and bake for about 45 minutes or until done.
  • Serve immediately with lemon wedges and green chilies.
