Spiced Cauliflower Recipe

SERVES : 2

INGREDIENTS :

  • 2 cups small florets of cauliflower
  • 4 tbsps pure water
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 tsp whole cumin seed
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin

 

  • 1/4 tsp ground coriander
  • Rock salt to taste (optional)
  • 2 tbsps ghee
  • 1 tsp finely chopped fresh cilantro

 

METHOD

 

  • Heat ghee until it looks clear.
  • Add the cumin seed and stir briefly to release aroma and flavor.
  • Add the powdered spices and stir once.
  • Add the ginger, salt and cauliflower and stir briefly. Lower heat to medium and cook covered, stirring occasionally, until cauliflower is fork-tender. Add water as needed to prevent sticking.
  • Garnish with the fresh cilantro.
  • Enjoy warm with a whole grain and dhal soup.
