Rakhi or Rakhsha Bandhan is a sacred Indian festival to celebrate the bonding between brothers and sisters. This Festival also marks itself as an important secular festival since it is observed by Hindus, Sikhs and also Muslims.

On this day sisters tie rakhi (sacred thread) on their brothers' wrist, which symbolizes sister's love and prayers for her brother. This is major festival of North India but celebrated all over the country with great zeal.
