Mushrooms in balsamic vinegar

INGREDIENTS :
- Balsamic vinegar 2 teaspoons
- Button mushrooms, quartered 400 grams
- Salt to taste
- Garlic paste 2 teaspoons
- Fresh basil leaves, torn 5-6
- Sugar 5 tablespoons
- Black peppercorns, crushed 5-6
METHOD
Marinate mushrooms in a mixture of salt, garlic paste and basil leaves for two hours.Heat sugar in a pan. Add one tablespoon of water, stir continuously till it caramalizes to a light golden colour. Add balsamic vinegar and crushed peppercorns and cook for three to four minutes. Toss mushrooms in caramelized sugar mixture and keep in the refrigerator to chill. Serve chilled.
