Iced Chocolate Biscuits

A fun snack of iced biscuits rich in carbohydrates and sugar.

Iced Chocolate Biscuits Recipe

SERVES : 12

INGREDIENT

  • 1-2 packets of sweet biscuits (any brand) – based on number of guests
  • 4 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbsp corn flour
  • 10 Tbsp of castor sugar or powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 cups milk
 

 

METHOD

  • Mix the milk, cocoa powder, corn flour, castor sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl.
  • Stir well and ensure there are no lumps.
  • Place the mixture in a saucepan and cook for 7-8 minutes on low flame, stirring constantly.
  • When the sauce begins to thicken remove it from the heat and cool.
  • Place the biscuits on a plate and pour the chocolate sauce over each biscuit.
  • Refrigerate the biscuits for 2-3 hours.
  • Remove from the fridge when you are ready to serve.

 

TIPS : You can also sprinkle some grated chocolate to an additional texture before refrigerating
