French Fries
French Fries Recipe
This popular snack is rich in carbohydrates and is quite filling.

SERVES : 6 - 8
INGREDIENTS :
- 3 large potatoes
- 2 cups oil
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups cold water
METHOD
- Wash and peel potatoes
- Cut the potatoes into strips (2 inch long and ¼ inch wide)
- Soak the chopped potatoes in the salted cold water for about half an hour.
- Drain well and pat dry on paper towels
- Heat the oil in a pan or kadhai..
- Fry the strips till they are crispy and golden brown.
- Drain excess oil on paper towels and keep warm in an oven, while you fry the remaining batches.
- Serve with ketchup or tomato chutney.
