Fish in Banana Leaves Recipe

INGREDIENTS- King fish (surmai) fillets, large chunks 8
- Salt to taste
- Lemon juice 4 tablespoons
- Coconut, scraped 1/2 cup
- Green chillies, chopped 4
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped 1 cup
- Garlic 6-8 cloves
- Cumin seeds 3 teaspoons
- Banana leaves 3-4
METHOD
Sprinkle lemon juice and salt on the fish chunks and marinate for fifteen minutes. Grind together coconut, green chillies, coriander leaves, garlic and cumin seeds to a fine paste. Keep each fish piece on a piece of banana leaf, spread green chutney on both sides and fold the leaf over the fish to make a parcel. Heat water in a steamer. Keep the fish parcel in the steamer and steam for five to seven minutes. Serve hot.
