Dahi Puri Recipe

Dahipuri, or Dahi puri, is an Indian snack. It is a type of chaat that is based on the mini-puri shell.

Dahi puri typically comes 5 or 6 dahi puris per plate. Unlike pani puri, dahi puri is not served one morsel at a time, but all at once. Each dahi puri is intended to be eaten whole, like the pani puri, so that the spectrum of flavors and textures within may hit the mouth together for full effect.

Ingredients For Dahi Puri Recipe :
  • pani puri or golgap :     20 pieces
  • Tamarind chatni :    
  • Thick Yoghurt :     1/3 cup
  • Cooked Peas :     1/4 cup
  • Cumin seeds :     1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric :     1/4 tsp
  • Salt :    
  • Red chili powder :     1 tsp
  • Garam masala :     1/2 tsp
  • Sweet chutney :     5 tablespoons

Preparation Method for Dahi Puri Recipe :

  • Crack a small hole in the centre of each puri
  • Arrange the puris/golgappas/papri on a serving plate
  • Mix dahi all the ingredients mix together in a bowl. Beat well
  • Fill each puri with some Tamarind chatni and top with fresh curd mixture
  • Sprinkle the chilli powder and chaat masala or jaljeera masala on top
  • Garnish with the chopped coriander and serve immediately
