Chicken Fried rice is a popular component of Asian cuisine, especially Chinese food and Indian food.

Chicken Fried Rice Recipe

SERVES : 6 - 8

INGREDIENTS :

  • Sesame oil - 1/2 tblsp
  • Onion - 1
  • Cooked, cubed chicken meat - 1/2 pounds
  • Soy sauce - 2 tblsps
  • Large carrots, diced - 2
  • Celery, chopped - 2 stalks
  • Red bell pepper, diced - 1 large
 

 

  • Fresh pea pods, halved - 3/4 cup
  • Green bell pepper, diced - 1/2 large
  • Cooked white rice - 6 cups
  • Eggs - 2
  • Soy sauce - 1/3 cup

 

METHOD

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry onion till it becomes soft
  • Add chicken and 2 tblsps soy sauce and stir-fry for 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Add the carrots, celery, red bell pepper, pea pods and green bell pepper and stir-fry another 5 minutes.
  • Then add rice and stir thoroughly.
  • Finally, stir in scrambled eggs and 1/3 cup soy sauce, heat through and serve hot.
