Breakfast Casserole is a wonderful reciepe for Christmas breakfast. This will be light and energetic. Housewives and mothers will be delighted to make this easily and can enjoy with family.

Ingredients For Breakfast Casserole :
  • slices of white bread :     4
  • Butter :    
  • mixed mild and medium sausage, such as Salt Lick sausage :     1 pound
  • Dry mustard :     1 teaspoon
  • Salt :    
  • Pepper :    
  • Dash of hot sauce :    
  • Eggs beaten :     8
  • Fresh mushrooms sliced (optional) :     8 ounce
  • Unpeeled red potatoes cooked :     1 and ½ cup sliced
  • Cheddar :     1 cup grated
  • Monterey Jack Cheese :     1 cup

Preparation Method for Breakfast Casserole :

Make small cubes of bread. Grease the casserole with butter.

Place the bread cubes on the lightly greased casserole.

Fry the sausages until it turns golden brown and drain on paper towels.

Mix it together with salt, pepper, dry mustard, hot sauce and eggs.

Place the sausages over the bread cubes and top it with a layer of potatoes.

If mushroom is used then place it before the layer of potatoes.

Sprinkle some cheese on top and pour the mixture of beaten egg over the casserole.

Cover casserole and refrigerate it for one hour minimum to overnight.

Then preheat the oven to 350 degrees F then bake it for 30 minutes.
